While in Austin, he developed a strong interest in substance use disorders and transitioned to full-time practice in Addiction Medicine in 2016, later achieving board certification in Addiction Medicine. During this time, he became increasingly focused on treating patients holistically and developed a passion for Functional Medicine.
In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors in Austin with his wife and traveling.
Dr. Harbir Singh, MD, MBA, FACEP
Dr. Harbir Singh is a board-certified emergency physician with a deep commitment to transforming healthcare delivery. After earning his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Singh began building a career at the intersection of frontline medicine, systems leadership, and patient-centered innovation.
Over time, he became increasingly drawn to the principles of functional medicine—seeking not just to treat illness but to understand and resolve its root causes. He believes the future of medicine lies in more personalized, preventative, and integrative care that empowers patients and restores true health.
Now based in Austin, Dr. Singh is focused on expanding access to high-quality, physician-led care. Through his leadership in building micro-hospitals and supporting functional medicine practices, he is creating systems where patients receive more time, attention, and thoughtful care—without the delays or bureaucracy of traditional healthcare. His mission is clear: make excellent care more accessible, while helping both patients and physicians thrive.
